Abstrak

Bell pepper is a plant that produce fruit like a bell. In every region, farmers already try to plant bell pepper. One of solution that can be done is with hydropnic.Hydroponic is a way to plant without soil, and there are so many kind types of hydroponic sysem such as wick sytem, floating system, and dry hydroponic.All that kind od hydroponic type is a statis type so we need a jar to put the nutrition. This study aims to determine the effect of the size of the nutrient jar and the hydroponic system on the growth of the vegetative phase of paprika (Capsicum annum L) plants. This research was conducted using a completely randomized factorial design with two treatment factors and three replications. The experiment used 2 factors, the first factor P was the size of the nutrient jar consisting of 3 levels, such as small (P1), medium (P2), large (P3). The second factor (H) is a hydroponic system consisting of 3 levels, namely the wick system (H1), floating system (H2), and dry hydroponic (H3). Each treatment experienced 3 repetitions (U) so that 27 experimental units were obtained. Factors at the 5% level indicate that the influence of the size of the nutrient jar and the hydroponic system is significantly different. The results showed that the size of the jar and hydroponic system affected the growth of the vegetative phase of paprika (Capsicum Annum L) both plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, stem diameter, root length and evapotranspiration of nutrient solutions. Dry hydroponic system (H3) and nutrient jar big size (P3) has the best growth value of the paprika vegetative phase, for example plant height. Plant height in the treatment of bigjar size (P3) and dry hydroponic (H3) has a value of 26.3 cm while the influence of the size of the jar (P1) and the wick system (H1) has the lowest value of 13.8 cm. Keyword :Bell pepper (Capsicum Annum L), jars of nutrition, hydroponics system faktor pertama P adalah ukuran wadah nutrisi yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu kecil (P1), sedang (P2), besar (P3). Faktor kedua (H) yaitu sistem hidroponik yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu sistem sumbu (H1), floating system (H2), dan dry hydroponic (H3). Masing-masing perlakuan mengalami 3 kali pengulangan (U) sehingga didapatkan 27 unit percobaan.. Bahan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini antara lain bibit paprika Known You Seed, rockwool sebagai media tanam, dan nutrisi AB Mix sebagai unsur hara yang diperlukan tanaman. Faktor taraf 5% menunjukkan bahwa ukuran wadah dan sistem hidroponik mempengaruhi pertumbuhan fase vegetative paprika Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran wadah dan sistem hidroponik mempengaruhi pertumbuhan fase vegetatif paprika (Capsicum Annum L) baik tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, lebar daun, diameter batang, panjang akar dan evapotranspirasi larutan nutrisi.Sistem hidroponik dry hydroponic (H3) dan ukuran wadah nutrisi yang besar (P3) memiliki nilai pertumbuhan fase vegetatif paprika yang paling baik , contohnya tinggi tanaman. Tinggi tanaman pada perlakuan ukuran wadah besar (P3) dan dry hydroponic (H3) memiliki nilai 26.3. cm sedangkan pengaruh ukuran wadah (P1) dan sistem sumbu (H1) memiliki nilai yang paling rendah yaitu 13.8 cm. , sedangkan, lebar daun, diameter batang, dan panjang akar yang memiliki nilai 16.0 , 5.3 cm, 4.7 cm, dan 17.9 cm.
