Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

This research aimed to: (i) investigate the need of developing interactive reading assessment, (ii) develop the interactive I-Spring Quizmaker-based reading assessment, and (iii) analyze the students’ and the teachers’ appraisal on the developed interactive reading assessment. This was a Research and Development (R & D) using the ADDIE model referring to five stages: Analyzing, Designing, Developing, Implementing and Evaluating. The subjects were the students of grade X of SMA Negeri 3 Kotabumi and the English teachers from some different senior high schools at North Lampung. Types of data obtained in this study were quantitative and qualitative data. The data of the students needs were collected by administering questionnaire to the students, interviewing the teachers, and conducting literature studies. The data about validation of the initial developed products were collected by administering questionnaires to a material expert and a media expert. The data of the students’ and the teachers’ appraisal on the developed products were obtained by adminstering questionnaires to the students and the teachers. The results showed that (1) the students need interactive I-Spring Quizmaker-based reading assessments that can support online and face-to-face teaching, (2) The interactive I-Spring Quizmaker-based reading assessments were developed by using the ADDIE model of development. The result of the needs analysis was the basis for developing a course grid. The course grid was used as the guideline to develop the first draft of the reading assessments and the first draft was evaluated by a material and a media expert and then revised based on the feedback obtained, and (3) the score percentage obtained from the students’ appraisal questionnaire is 87% while the score obtained from the teachers’ appraisal questionnaire is 93%. Both of the scores falls into which falls into Very Good category that means the interactive I-Spring Quizmaker-based reading assessments are very eligible to use at schools.
