Abstract
Informasi pada saat ini bukan lagi produk pelengkap melainkan sebuah kebutuhan utama terutama pada instansi seperti sekolah. Sistem penyebaran informasi di sekolah saat ini masih menggunakan kertas. Penyebaran informasi tersebut dapat dipermudah dengan membuat sistem informasi berbasis SMS center sekolah dengan memanfaatkan teknologi SMS Gateway. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metode waterfall. Metode waterfall memiliki inti pada pengerjaan dari suatu sistem dilakukan secara berurutan. Sistem yang telah dihasilkan yaitu suatu layanan informasi SMS Center pengumuman kegiatan sekolah kepada orang tua, guru, dan siswa berbasis SMS gateway sebagai pusat penyebaran informasi sekolah. Pengembangan SMS gateway sebagai pusat informasi sekolah telah berjalan dengan baik. Sehingga dapat membantu proses kerja pihak sekolah dalam menyebarkan informasi kegiatan sekolah kepada guru, siswa dan wali murid. Sistem SMS Gateway ini diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan database MySQL, GAMMU sebagai tool SMS Gateway dan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Kata kunci: Informasi, SMS Center, SMS Gateway, GAMMU. Nowadays, information is no longer a complementary product but a major requairement especially in some institutions such as schools. Dissemination of information on the school system is still using paper. Dissemination of such information can be facilitated by making an SMS-based information systems utilizing technology center school with SMS Gateway. System development method used is the waterfall method. Waterfall method have the core of a system work performed sequentially. The resulting system is an information service SMS Center announcements of school activities to parents, teachers, and students based SMS Gateway as school information dissemination center. The development of SMS gateway as a distribution center school information it has been going well.The system can assist the work of the school in the process of disseminating information to the school activities of teachers, students and parents. SMS gateway system is implemented by using a MySQL database, GAMMU as SMS gateway tools and programming language PHP. Keywords: Information, SMS Center, SMS Gateway, GAMMU
