Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
ABSTRACT The objectives of this research can be stated as follow; (1) to improve students’ vocabulary achievement in teaching vocabulary through song as a technique. (2) to improve students’ participation in learning vocabulary through song as a technique. (3) to improve teacher performance during Implementing song as a technique in vocabulary class. This research was conducted at SDN Krawangsari Natar South Lampung the Academic Year 2013/2014. The subject of this research was the students of second graders consisti ng of 30 students. This research conducted pre - test, and two cycles in classroom action research. The research lasted from Mei 26 th until June 7 th 2014. The researcher analyzed the result from observation and achievement test from each cycle. In the pre - te st, there are 45% or less half of students give attention and response maximally to the teacher, the average of the students’ achievement was 57.35. In the first cycle there are 50% or half of students joined the class, and the average of the students’ ach ievement was 66.38. In second cycle there are 75% or majority of the students joined in the class, the average of the students’ achievement was 80.27. It could be concluded that by using English songs in teaching vocabulary could be used as one of the most suitable technique in teaching vocabulary for children in order to increase students’ vocabulary ability.
