Abstrak
ABSTRAK Keberadaan hujan sangat penting dalam kehidupan karena hujan dapat mencukupi kebutuhan air yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh semua makhluk hidup. Kehidupan di muka bumi akan terganggu jika tidak ada air. Namun, disisi lain datangnya hujan dengan intensitas yang sangat tinggi dan tidak seimbang dengan kebutuhan akan terbuang percuma bahkan dapat menyebabkan bencana. Pada tugas akhir ini, dibuat alat ukur curah hujan jenis tipping bucket menggunakan mikrokontroler ATmega328P yang mampu mengukur curah hujan dan menyimpannya secara otomatis serta mengirimkannya menggunakan layanan Sort Message Service (SMS) melalui jaringan GSM. Hasil pengukuran dibandingkan dengan alat ukur Odyssey Davis Tipping Bucket. Pada empat kali pengujian, terdapat selisih 0,03-1,7 mm curah hujan dengan error 0,6-5,8 %. ABSTRACT The existence of rain is very important in life because it can meet the need of water that is needed by all living things. Life on earth will be disturbed if there is no water. However, on the other hand the rain with a very high intensity and not balanced will be wasted even can lead to disaster. in this study, the design of automatic rainfall measurement use a tipping bucket type based on Atmega328P microcontroller which is equipped with a data transmission system use GSM network via sort message service (SMS). The measurement results compared with measuring devices Odyssey Davis Tipping Bucket. At four times the test, there is a difference of 0.03 to 1.7 mm rainfall with 0.6 to 5.8% error.
