Abstract
ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap pemahaman konsep materi IPA di kelas V SD Negeri Sidosari Kecamatan Natar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri Sidosari Kecamatan Natar. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VC sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pemahaman konsep siswa menggunakan teknik tes. Data penelitian yang digunakan yaitu data kuantitatif berupa data nilai pretest-posttest yang dikonversikan ke dalam bentuk skor gain. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data gain menunjukkan hasil rata-rata gain kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri lebih tinggi dari rata-rata gain kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep materi IPA di kelas V SD Negeri Sidosari Kecamatan Natar. ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to know the influence of inquiry learning model application towards science material concept understanding in grade V of Sidosari Elementary School, Natar. This research used pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research were all students grade V of Sidosari Elementary School, Natar. The sample of this research were students of VA as the experimental class and VC as the control class. Technique of sample taking was using simple random sampling. Technique of data accumulating was using test. This research used quantitative data in form pretest-posttest value data which converted into gain scores. The result and data gain analysis showed that the average of gain class used inquiry learning model is higher than conventional learning. It could be concluded that inquiry learning model influence to science material concept understanding in grade V of Sidosari Elementary School, Natar.
