Kereta Api Indonesia Inc, as a company that provides services to the community, requires Public Relations that has a specific strategy to build the company's image and increase public trust through positive reporting about the company. To achieve this goal, public relations must build good relations with the media, and use media relations strategies. The aim of this research is to find out the media relations strategy o KAI (Persero) Divre IV Tanjungkarang Inc in optimizing publicity. The results of this study indicate that the media relations strategy used by KAI (Persero) Divre IV Tanjungkarang Inc Public Relations is a relationship management strategy, development strategy, and network development. Media relations strategy activities carried out by KAI (Persero) Divre IV Tanjungkarang Inc public relations in conducting publicity are media gatherings, press conferences, focus group discussions (FGD), press tours, press luncheons, visitacion media, and special events Keywords: Strategy, Media Relations, Public Relations, Publicity
