Abstrak

Keluarga berencana merupakan usaha untuk mengatur dan membatasi kelahiran. Program keluarga berencana ini mempunyai sasaran yakni pasangan usia subur (PUS). Namun, selama ini PUS yang berpartisipasi sebagai akseptor KB masih didominasi oleh istri saja, berbeda dengan suami PUS yang partisipasinya masih kurang untuk menjadi akseptor KB. Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab rendahnya partisipasi suami PUS sebagai akseptor KB di Desa Tanjung Sari Kecamatan Natar Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 37 responden, yang semuanya adalah suami PUS yang mempunyai anak minimal 1 orang. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik wawancara terstuktur dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tabel persentase satu arah dan tabel silang (Cross Tab). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penyebab masih rendahnya partisipasi suami pasangan usia subur (PUS) sebagai akseptor KB di Desa Tanjung Sari adalah: (1) kurangnya pengetahuan suami PUS tentang KB, (2) rendahnya pendapatan suami PUS, (3) persepsi positif yang dimiliki suami PUS terhadap nilai anak, dan (4) sikap negatif yang dimiliki suami PUS terhadap alat kontrasepsi. Family planning is an attempt to regulate and restrict the birth. The family planning program has the goal of fertile couples (EFA). However, during this EFA participating as acceptors is still dominated by the wife alone in contrast to the EFA husband whose participation is still less to be acceptors. This study aims to determine the causes of the low participation of EFA husband as acceptors in Tanjung Sari Natar District of South Lampung. This study used a descriptive method. Population and sample in this study were 37 respondents, all of whom are EFA husband having children at least one person. Collecting data with structured interview techniques and documentation. Data analysis was performed using one way table percentages and cross tables (Cross Tab). The results showed the cause of the low participation of fertile couples husband as acceptors in the village of Tanjung Sari is, (1) the husband couples of childbearing age have less knowledge about family planning (2) husband couples of childbearing age have a low income (3) husband couples of childbearing age have a positive perception of the value of the child (4) and husband couples of childbearing age have a negative attitude towards contraception.
