Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji (1) hubungan antara persepsi mahasiswa tentang nilai anak dengan jumlah anak yang diinginkan, (2) hubungan antara persepsi mahasiswa tentang program keluarga berencana dengan jumlah anak yang diinginkan, (3) hubungan antara persepsi mahasiswa tentang nilai anak dan program keluarga berencana dengan jumlah anak yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi Jurusan Pendidikan IPS FKIP Universitas Lampung tahun akademik 2010/2011 s/d 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 352 orang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 78 mahasiswa yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling, pengambilan sampel secara random dilakukan dengan undian. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan analisis korelasi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara persepsi mahasiswa tentang nilai anak dengan jumlah anak yang diinginkan, (2) terdapat hubungan yang negatif dan tidak signifikan antara persepsi mahasiswa tentang program keluarga berencana dengan jumlah anak yang diinginkan, (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara persepsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi Jurusan Pendidikan IPS FKIP Universitas Lampung tentang nilai anak dan program keluarga berencana dengan jumlah anak yang diinginkan. This research aimed to find out 1) correlation between university students perceptions about value of children and the number of children desired, 2) correlation between university students perceptions about family program planning with the number of children desired, 3) correlation between university students perceptions about value of children and family program planning with the number of children desired. This research used descriptive method. Population in this research was university students of Geography Education Study Program IPS Education Majors FKIP University of Lampung academic year 2010/2011 to 2013/2014 consisted of 352 students. Sample of this research were 78 students who got from proportionate stratified random sampling technique, the sample was taken randomly by using lottery. Data was collected by using questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis technique used Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis and multiple correlation analysis. Result of the research showed that 1) there was a positive and significant correlation between university students perceptions about value of children with the number of children desired, 2) there was a negative correlation and not significant between university students perceptions about family planning with the number of children desired, 3) there was a positive and significant correlation between perceptions of university students of Geography Education Study Program IPS Education Majors FKIP University of Lampung about value of children and family program with the number of children desired.
