Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

The objectives of this research were to find out whether there is a significant effect in students' writing ability of descriptive text after of using clusteringtechnique and to determine which aspect of writing improves the most. Thepopulation of this research was the first grade students of MAN1 LampungSelatan in the academic year 2023/2024. The sample of this research was class X.I which consisted of 20 students. This research was quantitative research by usingOne Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The writing test was used as theinstrument for pre-test and post-test. The data were taken fromthe test andtheywere analyzed by using Paired Sample T-test. The result of this research showedthere is a significant efffect of students writing ability of descriptive text after theimplementation of clustering technique since the value of the significant level was0.00 that lower than 0.05. On the other hand, all aspects of writing improvedregarding the results, but the mechanic was improved the most. Briefly, it couldbe concluded that clustering technique enabled to improve the students' writingability. Keywords: writing ability, descriptive text, clustering technique
