Abstract
This study investigates the students’ listening comprehension significant improvement after they have been taught through audio podcast. Conducted on one class of tenth-grade high school students, the research used a quantitative approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Over five meetings, the students received listening instruction through selected English-language audio podcasts. The intervention aimed to improve various listening sub-skills, including 1. identifying main ideas, 2. recognizing detailed information, 3. making inferences, 4. understanding vocabulary in context, and 5. distinguishing different sounds. Listening comprehension was measured before and after the treatment using structured listening tests. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ post-test scores across, the mean score increased from 70.83 to 83.56, reflecting an improvement of 12.72 points. suggesting that podcast-based learning has a positive impact on overall listening ability. The results that have been obtained, it is known the value in the results of this study is Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.005.
