Abstract
Masalah penelitian ini adalah perilaku peserta didik yang belum mencerminkan nilai-nilai karakter secara optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pendidikan karakter terhadap perilaku peserta didik kelas V di sekolah dasar Metro Selatan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi dan sampel berjumlah 35 dengan menggunakan sampel jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan skala likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi person product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara pendidikan karakter dengan perilaku peserta didik di kelas V sekolah dasar yang berada pada kriteria “sangat kuat”. Kata kunci: pendidikan karakter, perilaku peserta didik, sekolah dasar The problem of this research was that the behavior of students that has not yet reflected character values optimally . The purpose of this study was to knowing the relationship between character education and the behavior of class V grade students at the South Metro elementary school. Types of research used quantitatively with the correlation method. The population and sample consist of 35 using saturated sampling. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a likert scale. The data analysis techniques included normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis testing using Pearson product-moment correlation. The results of the study indicate a positive and significant relationship between character education and the behavior of fifth-grade students in elementary school, with a classified as 'very strong'.
