Produktivitas kopi merupakan salah satu indikator utama keberhasilan usaha tani kopi yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh penerapan teknologi budidaya secara tepat dan berkelanjutan. Salah satu faktor strategis yang berperan dalam mendorong penerapan teknologi tersebut adalah keberadaan penyuluh pertanian, yang berfungsi sebagai pendamping petani dalam proses adopsi inovasi pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran penyuluh pertanian dalam penerapan teknologi budidaya kopi serta hubungannya dengan peningkatan produktivitas kopi di Kecamatan Cukuh Balak, Kabupaten Tanggamus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada 68 petani kopi yang dipilih sebagai responden penelitian. Variabel penelitian meliputi peran penyuluh pertanian yang mencakup peran sebagai edukator, dinamisator, fasilitator, konsultan, serta pelaksana monitoring dan evaluasi, serta variabel penerapan teknologi budidaya kopi yang meliputi pemilihan bibit unggul, penanaman, pemeliharaan, pemupukan, perlindungan tanaman, dan pascapanen. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran penyuluh pertanian berada pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi, dengan mayoritas responden menilai penyuluh telah menjalankan perannya secara cukup optimal. Penerapan teknologi budidaya kopi oleh petani juga berada pada kategori sering, yang menunjukkan bahwa petani telah cukup aktif mengadopsi teknologi dalam kegiatan usahatani kopi. Analisis hubungan menunjukkan bahwa peran penyuluh pertanian berkontribusi positif terhadap penerapan teknologi budidaya kopi, yang pada akhirnya berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan produktivitas kopi. Oleh karena itu, optimalisasi peran penyuluh pertanian perlu terus ditingkatkan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan dan peningkatan produktivitas usahatani kopi di Kecamatan Cukuh Balak. Coffee productivity is one of the main indicators of the success of coffee farming, which is strongly influenced by the appropriate and sustainable application of cultivation technology. One of the strategic factors that plays an important role in encouraging the adoption of such technology is the presence of agricultural extension workers, who function as facilitators assisting farmers in the process of adopting agricultural innovations. This study aims to analyze the role of agricultural extension workers in the application of coffee cultivation technology and its relationship with the improvement of coffee productivity in Cukuh Balak District, Tanggamus Regency. This study employed a survey method with a quantitative approach. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, and the distribution of questionnaires to 68 coffee farmers selected as research respondents. The research variables included the role of agricultural extension workers as educators, dynamizers, facilitators, consultants, and implementers of monitoring and evaluation, as well as the application of coffee cultivation technology, which comprised the selection of superior seedlings, planting, maintenance, fertilization, plant protection, and post-harvest practices. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and statistical analysis. The results showed that the role of agricultural extension workers was classified from moderate to high, with the majority of respondents perceiving that extension workers had performed their roles fairly optimally. The application of coffee cultivation technology by farmers was also categorized as frequent, indicating that farmers had been actively adopting technology in their coffee farming activities. Relationship analysis revealed that the role of agricultural extension workers contributed positively to the application of coffee cultivation technology, which in turn influenced the improvement of coffee productivity. Therefore, optimizing the role of agricultural extension workers is necessary to support the sustainability and enhancement of coffee farming productivity in Cukuh Balak District.
