Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berkembangnya pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan dalam pembelajaran, khususnya penggunaan ChatGPT yang berpotensi mendukung interaksi belajar pada materi kebahasaan. ChatGPT memungkinkan terjadinya simulasi percakapan berbasis teks yang relevan dengan karakteristik pembelajaran teks negosiasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas penggunaan ChatGPT sebagai media interaktif dalam pembelajaran teks negosiasi pada murid kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pretest–Posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 28 murid kelas X yang dipilih dari populasi sebanyak 312 murid. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest) berbentuk soal objektif untuk mengukur hasil belajar murid sebelum dan sesudah penerapan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran. Data dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS versi 27 melalui uji normalitas dan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar murid setelah penerapan ChatGPT. Nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 66,96 meningkat menjadi 76,25 pada posttest. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,424 pada pretest dan 0,185 pada posttest, sehingga data berdistribusi normal. Uji paired sample t-test menghasilkan nilai t = −7,415 dengan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001, yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Selain itu, hasil perhitungan N-gain berada pada kategori rendah namun pada nilai effect size menunjukkan pengaruh yang bermakna. Dengan demikian, penggunaan ChatGPT efektif sebagai media interaktif dalam mendukung pembelajaran teks negosiasi. Kata kunci: negosiasi; efektivitas; ChatGPT; media pembelajaran; Bahasa Indonesia. This study is motivated by the growing use of artificial intelligence in education, particularly the use of ChatGPT, which has the potential to support interactive learning in language-related materials. ChatGPT enables text-based conversational simulations that align with the characteristics of negotiation text learning. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using ChatGPT as an interactive medium in teaching negotiation texts to tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung. This research employed a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The sample consisted of 28 tenth-grade students selected from a population of 312 students. Data were collected through a pretest and a posttest in the form of objective questions to measure students’ learning outcomes before and after the implementation of ChatGPT in the learning process. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 27 through normality testing and a paired sample t-test. The results indicate a difference in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of ChatGPT. The mean score increased from 66.96 in the pretest to 76.25 in the posttest. The normality test showed significance values of 0.424 for the pretest and 0.185 for the posttest, indicating that the data were normally distributed. The paired sample t-test yielded a t-value of −7.415 with a significance (2-tailed) value of 0.001, indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes before and after the treatment. In addition, the N-gain results were categorized as low, while the effect size indicated a meaningful impact. Therefore, the use of ChatGPT is effective as an interactive medium in supporting the learning of negotiation texts.
