Abstract

The edge locating chromatic number of G, denoted by χ ′ L (G), is the minimum number of colors required to obtain an edge locating coloring of G. The Rose graph M(Cn) is a connected graph constructed by a cycle graph Cn with vertices v1, v2, . . . , vn and n isolated vertices w1, w2, . . . , wn, by connecting every pair of vertices vs, vs+1 to ws, for s= 1,2, . . . , n , with vn+1 =v 1. In this research, we determined the edge locating chromatic number of rose graph and the barbell rose graph. The results, χ ′ L (M(Cn)) 5 for n∈ {3,4,5} and 6 for n≥6 , whereas χ ′ L (BM (Cn))is 6 forn≥3. Keywords: edge locating chromatic number, Rose graph, barbell Rose graph. Bilangan kromatik lokasi sisi dari G, yang dinotasikan dengan χ ′ L (G), adalah banyaknya warna minimum yang diperlukan untuk memperoleh suatu pewarnaan lokasi sisi pada G. Graf bunga Mawar M(Cn) merupakan graf terhubung yang dikontruksi dari graf siklus Cn dengan titik-titik v1, v2, . . . , vn dan n titik terisolasi w1, w2, . . . , wn, dengan menghubungkan setiap dua titik vs, vs+1 dengan ws, untuk s= 1,2, . . . , n , dengan vn+1 =v 1. Pada penelitian ini ditentukan bilangan kromatik lokasi sisi graf bunga Mawar dan graf barbel bunga Mawar. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah χ ′ L (M(Cn)) adalah 5 untuk n∈ {3,4,5} dan 6 untuk n≥6 , sedangkan χ ′ L (BM (Cn))adalah 6 untukn≥3. Kata kunci: bilangan kromatik lokasi sisi, graf bunga Mawar, graf barbel bunga Mawar.
