Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan game visual novel Intertwining Infinity Line sebagai media pembelajaran Geometri Analitik Bidang untuk mengatasi rendahnya kemampuan representasi verbal mahasiswa. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) yang meliputi fase initiation, pre-production, production, testing, beta, dan release. Aplikasi dibangun menggunakan engine Ren’Py dengan bahasa pemrograman Python. Hasil pengujian Black Box menunjukkan seluruh fitur fungsional berjalan dengan baik. Berdasarkan uji kelayakan (User Acceptance Test), game ini memperoleh skor 86,29% yang masuk dalam kategori Sangat Layak. Uji efektivitas melalui analisis Normalized Gain menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan skor 0,756 (Kategori Tinggi), di mana rata-rata nilai mahasiswa meningkat dari 36,45 (pre- test) menjadi 84,52 (post-test). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah game visual novel efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan membantu mahasiswa memvisualisasikan persoalan geometri analitik yang abstrak. Kata kunci: Geometri Analitik Bidang, GDLC, Visual Novel, Ren’Py. This research aims to develop a visual novel game titled Intertwining Infinity Line as an educational medium for Analytic Geometry of Planes to address the low mathematical representation skills among students. The development follows the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method, comprising six phases: initiation, pre-production, production, testing, beta, and release. The application was built using the Ren’Py engine and Python programming language. Black Box testing results confirmed that all functional features operate correctly. Based on the User Acceptance Test (UAT), the game achieved a score of 86.29%, placing it in the "Very Feasible" category. Effectiveness testing using Normalized Gain (N-Gain) analysis showed a significant improvement with a score of 0.756 (High Category), where the average student score rose from 36.45 (pre-test) to 84.52 (post-test). In conclusion, this visual novel game is an effective learning tool for enhancing conceptual understanding and assisting students in visualize abstract analytical geometry problems.
