Fenomena yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah masih beragamnya tingkat kepercayaan diri mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP Universitas Lampung dalam berkarier sebagai guru meskipun telah mengikuti Program Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh efikasi diri dan persepsi profesi guru terhadap kepercayaan diri berkarier sebagai guru melalui pengalaman PLP. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif verifikatif melalui desain ex post facto dan survei. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP Universitas Lampung angkatan 2022 yang telah menempuh PLP dengan sampel 102 mahasiswa menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri dan persepsi profesi guru berpengaruh terhadap pengalaman PLP; pengalaman PLP berpengaruh terhadap kepercayaan diri berkarier sebagai guru; secara parsial efikasi diri tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepercayaan diri berkarier sebagai guru, sedangkan persepsi profesi guru berpengaruh; pengalaman PLP memediasi pengaruh efikasi diri dan persepsi profesi guru, serta secara simultan seluruh variabel berpengaruh terhadap kepercayaan diri berkarier sebagai guru. Dengan demikian, pengalaman PLP berperan penting dalam memperkuat kepercayaan diri mahasiswa untuk berkarier sebagai guru. The underlying phenomenon of this research is the varying levels of self-confidence of Economics Education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung, regarding their careers as teachers, despite having participated in the School Field Introduction Program (PLP). This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and perceptions of the teaching profession on their career confidence through the PLP experience. The study used quantitative methods with a descriptive, verification approach through an ex-post facto design and a survey. The study population was 102 Economics Education students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung, who had completed the PLP. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis. The results showed that self-efficacy and perceptions of the teaching profession influenced the PLP experience; the PLP experience influenced selfconfidence in a teaching career. Self-efficacy had no effect on self-confidence in a teaching career, while perceptions of the teaching profession did. The PLP experience mediated the influence of self-efficacy and perceptions of the teaching profession. All variables simultaneously influenced self-efficacy in a teaching career. Thus, the PLP experience plays an important role in strengthening students' self-confidence to pursue a career as a teacher.
