This study aims to analyze the structural transformation of the agricultural sector and identify leading agricultural subsectors in Kalimantan Island during the period 2011–2024. The analytical methods employed include Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share, and Klassen Typology using secondary data of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at constant prices in Kalimantan Island from 2011 to 2024 obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The results indicate that a structural transformation has occurred in Kalimantan Island, marked by a declining contribution of the primary sector, particularly mining, and an increasing contribution of the tertiary sector such as construction, trade, transportation, and information and communication. Although the contribution of the agricultural sector tends to decline in several provinces, this sector still plays an important role in the regional economy. The plantation subsector has become a leading and basic subsector in most provinces in Kalimantan Island with relatively high competitiveness. In addition, several subsectors such as horticulture, livestock, and fisheries also show strong potential for further development. This study demonstrates that the agricultural sector still has the potential to support regional economic development if accompanied by policies focusing on the development of leading subsectors and the enhancement of regional competitiveness. Keywords: Structural transformation; agricultural sector; leading subsectors; Location Quotient (LQ); Shift Share; Klassen Typology; Kalimantan Island Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis transformasi struktural sektor pertanian serta mengidentifikasi subsektor unggulan pertanian di Pulau Kalimantan tahun 2011 – 2024. Metode analisis yang digunakan meliputi Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share, dan Tipologi Klassen dengan menggunakan data sekunder PDRB atas dasar harga konstan Pulau Kalimantan dalam kurun waktu 2011 – 2024 yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi transformasi struktural di Pulau Kalimantan yang ditandai dengan menurunnya kontribusi sektor primer, khususnya pertambangan, dan meningkatnya kontribusi sektor tersier seperti konstruksi, perdagangan, transportasi, serta informasi dan komunikasi. Meskipun kontribusi sektor pertanian cenderung mengalami penurunan di beberapa provinsi, sektor ini masih memiliki peranan penting dalam perekonomian daerah. Subsektor perkebunan menjadi subsektor unggulan dan basis di sebagian besar provinsi di Pulau Kalimantan dengan daya saing yang relatif tinggi. Selain itu, beberapa subsektor seperti hortikultura, peternakan, dan perikanan juga menunjukkan potensi untuk dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sektor pertanian masih berpotensi menjadi penopang pembangunan ekonomi regional apabila didukung oleh kebijakan pengembangan subsektor unggulan dan peningkatan daya saing daerah.
