Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan air tebu dalam pengencer tris kuning telur dan menentukan dosis terbaik penambahan air tebu terhadap kualitas semen Kambing Jawarandu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Oktober-November 2025 bertempat di Laboratorium Unit Pelayanan Teknis Daerah Balai Inseminasi Buatan Daerah (UPTD BIBD) Poncowati, Terbanggi Besar, Lampung Tengah, Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap, dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan yaitu P0: Tanpa penambahan air tebu, P1: Penambahan air tebu sebanyak 10ml/ 100 ml pengencer, P2: Penambahan air tebu sebanyak 20ml/ 100 ml pengencer, P3: Penambahan air tebu sebanyak 30ml/ 100 ml pengencer. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam dengan taraf 5% dan atau 1% kemudian diuji Beda Nyata Terkecil untuk peubah yang berpengaruh nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan air tebu dalam pengencer tris kuning telur memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap motilitas pada jam ke 0, 2, 4, 6 dan viabilitas spermatozoa pada jam ke-0, 4. 6 serta juga memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) pada jam ke-2. Namun, pada jam ke 8, 10, 12 dan 14 tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata (P>0,05) terhadap motilitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa. Penambahan air tebu dalam pengencer tris kuning telur tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap abnormalitas spermatozoa pada jam ke-0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 sedangkan pada jam ke-12 menunjukkan pengaruh yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) dan jam ke-14 menjukkan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05). Perlakuan terbaik dalam mempertahankan kualitas semen Kambing Jawarandu pada P2 dengan penambahan air tebu sebanyak 20 ml dalam 100 ml pengencer tris kuning telur, dengan nilai motilitas sebesar 43,75% ± 2,50, nilai viabilitas 54,42% ± 2,47 dan nilai abnormalitas 18,67% ± 0,57. Kata Kunci : Air Tebu, Kambing Jawarandu, Kualitas Spermatozoa, Tris Kuning Telur This study aims to determine the effect of adding sugarcane juice in tris egg yolk diluent and determine the best dose of sugarcane juice addition on the quality of Jawarandu Goat semen. This study was conducted in October-November 2025 at the Regional Technical Service Unit Laboratory of the Regional Artificial Insemination Center (UPTD BIBD) Poncowati, Terbanggi Besar, Central Lampung, Lampung. This study used a Completely Randomized Design, with 4 treatments and 4 replications, namely P0: Without the addition of sugarcane juice, P1: Addition of 10ml of sugarcane juice / 100 ml of diluent, P2: Addition of 20ml of sugarcane juice / 100 ml of diluent, P3: Addition of 30ml of sugarcane juice / 100 ml of diluent. The data obtained were analyzed for variance at 5% and/or 1% levels and then tested for the Least Significant Difference for variables that had a significant effect. The results showed that the addition of sugarcane juice in egg yolk tris diluent had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on motility at 0, 2, 4, 6 hours and spermatozoa viability at 0, 4. 6 hours and also had a significant effect (P<0.05) at 2 hours. However, at 8, 10, 12 and 14 hours did not show a significant difference (P>0.05) on spermatozoa motility and viability. The addition of sugarcane juice in egg yolk tris diluent had no significant effect (P>0.05) on spermatozoa abnormalities at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 hours while at 12 hours it showed a very significant effect (P<0.01) and at 14 hours it showed a significant effect (P<0.05). The best treatment in maintaining the quality of Jawarandu goat semen at P2 was by adding 20 ml of sugarcane juice in 100 ml of egg yolk tris diluent, with a motility value of 43.75% ± 2.50, a viability value of 54.42% ± 2.47 and an abnormality value of 18.67% ± 0.57.
