Abstract
Abstrak Hutan produksi merupakan salah satu habitat berbagai jenis burung sebagai tempat berlindung, istirahat dan penyedia pakan. Namun adanya gangguan dari aktivitas manusia dengan adanya pemukiman, jalan permanen di dalam kawasan maupun menurunnya struktur komposisi tegakan yang ada dalam kawasan menyebabkan semakin menurunnya spesies burung yang ada didalam kawasan hutan produksi non register Giham Tahmi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis burung di hutan produksi desa Gunung Sangkaran Kecamatan Blambangan Umpu Kabupaten Way Kanan pada bulan Mei – Juni 2011di dua tipe habitat yang berbeda yang diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar ilmiah bagi perlindungan dan pelestarian burung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode terkonsentrasi. Metode ini dilakukan dengan pengamatan secara langsung pada satu titik di dua tipe habitat, yaitu tipe habitat I (tegakan Acacia mangium), dan tipe habitat II (tegakan Karet). Data yang didapat digunakan untuk menghitung indeks keanekaragaman dan kesamarataan. Pengamatan dilakukan selama tiga kali pengulangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa keanekaragaman jenis burung di hutan produksi desa Gunung Sangkaran pada tahun 2011 terdiri dari 29 jenis dari 14 famili (2642 individu). Pada tipe habitat II memiliki indeks keanekaragaman shannon tertinggi yaitu (H’= 3,000) pada karet umur dua tahun, sedangkan tipe habitat I hanya memiliki indeks keanekaragaman shannon sedang yaitu (H’= 2,807). Untuk indeks kesamarataan seluruhnya tergolong stabil. Kata kunci: hutan produksi, burung, habitat, indeks, indeks keanekaragaman, indeks kesamarataan, way kanan. Abstract Forest production is one of the habitat forp many species of birds as a place of refuge, rest and feed providers. However, the disruption of human activity in the presence of settlements, permanent roads in the region as well as decreasing the existing structure of the composition stands in the region led to the decline in bird species that exist within the production forest area non Giham Tahmi registers. The purpose of this study is to determine the diversity of bird species in the forest production of Gunung Sangkaran village, Kecamatan Blambangan Umpu, Kabupaten Way Kanan in May – June 2011 on two different types of habitat that is expected to be a scientific basis for the protection and conservation of birds. This research was conducted by the concentrated method. This method is done by direct observation at one point in the two types of habitat, in habitat type I (Acacia mangium stands), and habitat type II (Hevea braziliensis stands). The data obtained are used to calculate indices of diversity and equality. Observations were made during the three repetitions. Based on the results described that the diversity of bird species in the forest production of Gunung Sangkaran village in 2011 had been consisted of 29 species from 14 families (2642 individuals). In type II habitat had been the highest shannon index diversity (H '= 3.000) at the age of two years of rubber, whereas type I habitat H' = 2,807. For the equality index was classified as stable community. Key words: forest production, birds, habitat, index diversity, index equality, way kanan.
