Writing is an important aspect in conveying messages and feelings in writing. Problems when students are given the task of writing still found difficulty in developing students paragraphs a mastery of vocabulary and sentence he made illogical. The research method using a correlation approach. Data analysis using the technique of correlation of product moment. The population in the study as many as 42 students. Research Data was obtained by tests of vocabulary and the ability to put together sentences that are objective and essay writing skills, while the exposition is obtained from the results of students. Based on the discussion analysts and inconclusive a significant relationship between (1) mastery vocabulary by skill writing exposition and with a correlation coefficient 0,70 and the regression equation regression; Ŷ = 3,84 + 0,90X1 and 1 ratio with every increase score variable mastery vocabulary (X1) will raise score skill writing exposition 4,74 by constants 3,84. (2 ) ability compose a sentence effective with skill writing exposition and with a correlation coefficient 0,62 and the regression equation Ŷ = 7,85 + 0,86X2 ratio 1 with every increase of variable ability score composing sentence effective will improve skills writing exposition 8,71 by constants 7,85. (3) mastery of vocabulary, and the ability to devise effective sentence writing skills with the exposition of the correlation coefficient 0,70 of the regression equation Ŷ = 1,66+ 0,80X1+ 0,14X2 ratio each increment 1 score variables vocabulary mastery and ability to devise effective sentence would improve the writing skills score exposition of 2,85 with konstanta 1,66. Keywords; Sentences, Effective Vocabulary, Writing the Exposition. Menulis merupakan aspek penting dalam menyampaikan pesan dan perasaan dalam bentuk tulisan. Akan tetapi, dalam kenyataannya ketika diberikan tugas menulis masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan ( 1) hubungan penguasaan kosakata dengan keterampilan menulis eksposisi, (2) hubungan kemampuan menyusun kalimat efektif dengan keterampilan menulis eksposisi dan (3) hubungan penguasaan kosakata dan kemampuan menyusun kalimat efektif dengan keterampilan menulis eksposisi siswa kelas XI SMA N 15 Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode korelasional. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi produk moment. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 42 siswa. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes kosakata, kemampuan menyusun kalimat yang berbentuk objektif dan esai, dan keterampilan menulis eksposisi . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara (1)penguasaan kosakata dengan keterampilan menulis eksposisi dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,70 dan persamaan regresi regresi Ŷ = 3,84 + 0,90X1 dengan rasio setiap kenaikan 1 skor variabel penguasaan kosakata (X1) akan meningkatkan skor keterampilan menulis eksposisi (Y) sebesar 4,74 dengan konstanta sebesar 3,84. (2) kemampuan menyusun kalimat efektif dengan keterampilan menulis eksposisi dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,62 dan persamaan regresi Ŷ = 7,85 + 0,86X2 dengan rasio setiap kenaikan 1 skor variabel kemampuan menyusun kalimat efektif (X2) akan meningkatkan skor keterampilan menulis eksposisi (Y) sebesar 8,71 dengan konstanta sebesar 7,85. (3) penguasaan kosakata, dan kemampuan menyusun kalimat efektif dengan keterampilan menulis eksposisi koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,70 dan persamaan regresi Ŷ = 1,66+ 0,80X1+ 0,14X2 dengan rasio setiap kenaikan 1 skor variabel penguasaan kosakata (X1) dan kemampuan menyusun kalimat efektif (X2) akan meningkatkan skor keterampilan menulis eksposisi (Y) sebesar 2,59 dengan konstanta 1,66.
