Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Abstrak Keberadaan gulma di lahan pertanaman akan menyebabkan pertumbuhan awal tanaman tebu kurang maksimal. Besarnya penurunan ini dipengaruhi oleh jenis gulma dan populasi gulma. Percobaan ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, Laboratorium Gulma, dan Laboratorium Benih Universitas Lampung mulai bulan Oktober 2011 sampai bulan Februari 2012. Percobaan ini disusun dalam Rancangan Petak Berjalur dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan disusun secara faktorial (5x4). Faktor pertama adalah 5 jenis gulma (Asystasia gangetica, Borreria alata, Paspalum conjugatum, Setaria plicata, dan Cyperus rotundus) dan faktor kedua adalah populasi gulma (0, 20, 40, dan 60 gulma/m2). Homogenitas data diuji dengan uji Bartlett dan aditivitas data diuji dengan uji Tukey. Bila asumsi terpenuhi, data dianalisis ragam dan dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata terkecil (BNT) pada taraf 5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari: (1) pengaruh beberapa jenis gulma terhadap pertumbuhan awal tebu (2) pengaruh kepadatan populasi gulma terhadap perumbuhan awal tanaman tebu; (3) interaksi jenis dan kepadatan populasi gulma dalam mempengaruhi pertumbuhan awal tanaman tebu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Setaria plicata pada populasi 60 gulma/m2 mampu menekan populasi tanaman tebu pada umur 4 dan 6 MST. (2) gulma pada populasi 20, 40, dan 60 gulma/m2 mampu menekan jumlah daun pada umur 8 dan 12 MST serta populasi tanaman pada umur 8 dan 12 MST. (3) terjadi interaksi antara jenis dan populasi gulma dalam menekan tinggi tanaman pada umur 8 dan 12 MST, populasi tanaman pada umur 4 dan 6 MST, persentase pentupan gulma 4 dan 12 MST, dan bobot kering tebu. Kata kunci: Kompetisi Tanaman Tebu, Asystasia gangetica, Borreria alata, Paspalum conjugatum, Setaria plicata, dan Cyperus rotundus. Abstract The presence of weeds in crop fields will lead to the early growth of sugarcane less than the maximum. The magnitude of this decrease is influenced by the types of weeds and weed population. The experiment was conducted in South Lampung Regency Garden Experiments, Laboratory of Weed and Seed Laboratory of the University of Lampung starting in October 2011 to February 2012. Experimental plots are arranged in a ribbed design with 3 replications. The treatments are arranged in a factorial (5x4). The first factor is the 5 types of weeds (Asystasia gangetica, Borreria alata, conjugatum Paspalum, Setaria plicata, and Cyperus rotundus) and the second factor is the weed population (0, 20, 40, and 60 gulma/m2). Homogeneity of data was tested with Bartlett test and additivity of data were tested with Tukey test. If the assumptions are met, data were analyzed and followed by a variety of different test real smallest (LSD) at the level of 5%. This study aimed to study: (1) the influence of some weed species on early growth of sugarcane (2) the influence of weed population density of the initial perumbuhan sugarcane, (3) interaction of species and population density affect early growth of weeds in sugarcane. The results showed that: (1) Setaria plicata in a population of 60 gulma/m2 able to suppress populations of sugarcane at the age of 4 and 6 MST. (2) weed populations 20, 40, and 60 gulma/m2 able to suppress the number of leaves at the age of 8 and 12 MST and plant population at the age of 8 and 12 MST. (3) the interaction between species and weed populations in suppressing plant height at the age of 8 and 12 MST, plant population at the age of 4 and 6 MST, the percentage of weeds pentupan 4 and 12 MST, and the dry weight of sugar cane.
