Abstract

Abstrak Kehadiran mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan sangat penting, selain sebagai syarat mahasiswa untuk mengikuti Ujian Akhir Semester, pihak lain seperti dosen dan jurusan juga memerlukan data laporan kehadiran atau presensi mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu data laporan kehadiran mahasiswa harus didokumentasikan dan disimpan dengan baik. Sistem Presensi Mahasiswa Menggunakan Barcode merupakan salah satu solusi untuk pendokumentasian dan penyimpanan data laporan kehadiran mahasiswa. SMS (Short Message Service) merupakan salah satu teknologi telekomunikasi yang banyak digunakan di masa sekarang ini. Dengan memanfaatkan fasilitas SMS ini dapat dikembangkan sebuah layanan SMS Gateway untuk pengecekan kehadiran mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan. Layanan ini berfungsi untuk memfasilitasi agar orang tua agar dapat memantau kehadiran anaknya dalam perkuliahan melalui media SMS. Kata kunci: Presensi, Barcode, SMS Gateway Abstract The presence of college student in the lecture is very important, besides as a condition of a college student to participate in the final exam, other parties such as lecturer and college also require report of college student’s attendance. Therefore report of college student’s attendance must be documented and stored properly. College Students Presence System Using Barcode is one solution for document and storage report of college student’s attendance. SMS (Short Message Service) is a popular technology of telecommunications in today's times. By utilizing SMS facility, SMS Gateway service can be developed for checking report of college student’s attendance in lectures. This service serves to facilitate so parents can monitor their children's presence in the lectures via SMS. Keyword: Presence, Barcode, SMS Gateway
