Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
Kawasan Hutan Mangrove KPHL Gunung Balak Resort Muara Sekampung Kabupaten Lampung Timur merupakan habitat penting bagi kehidupan burung-burung maka perlu dilakukan upaya-upaya konservasi. Keanekaragaman spesies burung di kawasan tersebut yang menjadi dasar penelitian. Hutan Mangrove Resort Muara Sekampung merupakan kawasan yang memiliki perbedaan komunitas, ada beberapa lahan yang telah terkonversi menjadi areal tambak namun ada beberapa lahan yang masih berupa hutan mangrove alami. Untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis burung di kedua komunitas tersebut dilakukan penelitian dengan metode titik hitung (IPA) dan line transect. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan diam pada titik hitung dan mencatat burung yang dijumpai. Pada masing-masing komunitas diambil 6 titik hitung dengan masingmasing 9 hari pengamatan. Data populasi yang didapat digunakan untuk menghitung indeks keanekaragaman dan indeks kesamarataan Shannon-Wienner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 40 spesies burung dengan total 1.285 individu. Pada areal tambak terdapat 35 spesies burung dengan total 579 individu dan pada areal mangrove terdapat 21 spesies burung dengan total 706 individu. Pada hutan mangrove yang telah menjadi tambak memiliki indeks keanekaragaman sebesar 2,881 dengan indeks kesamarataan sebesar 0,810. Pada hutan mangrove alami memiliki indeks keanekaragaman sebesar 2,445 dengan indeks kesamarataan sebesar 0,803 yang berarti dalam kondisi yang stabil. Nilai kesamaan antar kedua komunitas adalah 0,571 artinya pada kedua habitat ini banyak terdapat spesies yang sama. Kata kunci: Burung, Keanekaragaman Jenis, Hutan Mangrove, Resort Muara Sekampung. ABSTRACT BIRDS DIVERSITY IN KPHL MANGROVE FOREST AREA GUNUNG BALAK MUARA SEKAMPUNG RESORT EAST LAMPUNG REGENCY Mangrove Forest Area KPHL Gunung Balak Muara Sekampung Resort East Lampung Regency is important habitat for birds so it needs to be conserved. The diversity of bird species in that area is the basis of the research. Mangrove Forest Area Muara Sekampung Resort is an area which has differences is communities. Some lands have been converted to the pond areas, while the others are natural mangrove. To determine the diversity of bird species in those two communities, the research was conducted using count point and transect method. The observation was conducted in silence on count point and recorded the birds encountered. There were 6 count points at each community taken by 9 days observations for each count point. The population data obtained was used to calculate the diversity index & equality index of Shannon- Winner. The result of this research showed that there were 40 bird species with total of 1,285 individuals. There are 35 species of birds at pond with total of 579 individuals and 21 species of birds at mangroves area with total of 706 individuals. The mangroves forest which has become pond diversity index of 2,881 with equlity index of 0,810. The natural mangroves forest which has diversity index of 2,445 with equality index of 0,803, which it’s stabile condition. The equality value among both communities is 0,571, which means there are many similar species at both habitats. Key Words: Bird, Species Diversity, Mangrove Forest, Muara Sekampung Resort
