Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
The research was focused on examining (1) consumers’ responses to the product of bananachips industry in Village Segala Mider, Tanjung Karang Barat, Bandar Lampung, (2) factors that correlate with consumers’ responses to the product of banana-chips industry, (3) the differences of consumers’ responses to the product of banana-chips industry between partners and non-partners of PTPN VII. The research was managed from May until June 2010 in Village Segala Mider, Tanjung Karang Barat, Bandar Lampung, which was deliberately selected on the basis that Village Segala Mider is the most potential area in Lampung Province for developing small-scale agroindustry of banana-chips. The sample taken were 80 consumers’, comprising 30 consumers’ partners and 50 consumers’ non-partners of PTPN VII. The method applied was survey method; inter-variable relationships were then tested using Spearman’s rank correlation test, and responses differences examined with Mann-Whitney’s test. The results revealed that (1) consumers’ responses to the product of banana-chips industry were in good category, (2) factors that correlate with consumers’ responses were the innovation of flavors, the packs, crunchiness, prices, and customer service. Sales locations were observed as a variable that does not have strong correlation with consumers’ responses, (3) there are no differences of consumers’ responses to the product of banana-chips industry between partners and non-partners of PTPN VII.
