Abstract
Kata Kunci: Obesitas, Profil Lipid, Treadmill ABSTRACT Obesity is a complex disorder with excessive fat accumulation and abnormal adipose tissue. The prevalence of obesity is increasing due to the pattern of consumption of foods high in fat, unhealthy lifestyle and lack of physical activity. Obesity and dyslipidemia are elements of the metabolic syndrome that related each other. Dyslipidemia have a greater risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Treadmill is one model to study the physiology, and molecular biochemistry towards physical exercise. This study aims to determine the effect of treadmill treatment to lipid profile in the obese mice (Mus musculus). This study is an experimental research laboratory using post test control group design only. The study lasted for 28 days and the sample is divided into four groups, the K group (normal control), KP (control obesity), P1 (obese mice on a treadmill 1x10 minutes), and P2 (obese mice on a treadmill 2x10 minutes). K group was given a standard diet, while groups of KP, P1 and P2 are given a high-fat diet. Decreased levels of cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL highest achieved in P2 treatment with cholesterol levels of 179 ± 9.46 mg / dl (p = 0.000), triglycerides 111.2 ± 9.497 mg / dl (p = 0.000), and LDL levels of 119 , 4 ± 10.36 mg / dl (p = 0.000). An increase in HDL is highest in the group with HDL levels P1 77.8 ± 8.786 mg / dl (p = 0.000). In this study, there is an effect of treadmill treatment to lipid profile in the obese mice, even though there was no statistically significant difference between treatment treadmill 1x10 minutes per day and 2x10 minutes per day.
