Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perempuan bekerja sebagai penyadap getah damar dan mengetahui kontribusi perempuan penyadap getah damar dalam keluarga di Pekon Pahmungan Kecamatan Pesisir Tengah Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik penentuan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 7 orang. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh : 1) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perempuan bekerja sebagai penyadap damar yaitu, faktor ekonomi (kurangnya pendapatan suami), faktor lingkungan (keluarga yang mendukung untuk bekerja) dan faktor pendidikan yang rendah. 2) Kontribusi yang diberikan perempuan penyadap damar yaitu, kontribusi perempuan dalam rumah tangga sebagai istri dan ibu, kontribusi perempuan dalam pemenuhan ekonomi keluarga serta kontribusi perempuan di dalam masyarakat. Kata kunci: perempuan, penyadap damar, perkebunan damar ABSTRACT This research aims to find out the factors that affecting women working as resin tappers and to find out the contribution of resin tappers women in her family at Pahmungan Village Central of Pesisir District West Pesisir Regency. This research is using qualitative method with case study approach. The informants determination techniques in this reasearch is using purposive sampling technique so in this reasearch there are seven informants. The research results were obtained : 1) the factors that affecting women working as resin tappers are, economic factor (lack of husband's income), environmental factor (the family who support to work), low educational factor. 2) the contributions which given by resin tappers women are, women's contributions in the household as a wife and as a mother, women's contributions in the fulfillment of family economics and women's contributions in society.
