Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Smartphone sudah menjadi barang dengan tingkat kebutuhan yang sangat tinggi bagi sebagian orang. Smartphone yang mempermudah seseorang dalam mengakses informasi dan berkomunikasi, membuat sebagian orang menjadi ketergantungan terhadap smartphone. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah adakah pengaruh penggunaan smartphone terhadap ketergantungan mahasiswa pada smartphone. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh penggunaan smartphone terhadap ketergantungan mahasiswa pada smartphone. Teori yang menjadi landasan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori uses and effect dan teori dependency. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian eksplanatori, dan metode survey dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen penelitian. Variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu Variabel X (penggunaan smartphone) dan variabel Y (ketergantungan pada smartphone). Hipotesis penelitian ini yaitu ada pengaruh antara penggunaan smartphone terhadap ketergantungan mahasiswa pada smartphone. Hasil nilai korelasi (r) dalam penelitian ini sebesar 0,180 atau 18%, hal ini berarti terdapat hubungan positif antara penggunaan smartphone dan ketergantungan pada smartphone. Berdasarkan nilai t hitung yang diperoleh, dapat diketahui bahwa nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel (1,815 > 1.66) yang berarti bahwa sesuai dengan ketentuan perbandingan apabila t_(hit )> t_tab pada taraf signifikan 5% maka Ha diterima, dan Ho ditolak yang berarti ada hubungan yang signifikan. Hasil perhitungan koefisien determinasi (r^2) menunjukan bahwa kemampuan penggunaan smartphone dalam mempengaruhi ketergantungan penggunanya sebesar 0,033 atau 3,3% yang berarti pengaruh kecil. Dari uraian tersebut ditarik kesimpulan bahwa mahasiswa jurusan psikologi dalam penelitian ini tidak ketergantungan pada smartphone. Smartphone which is facilitate a person to access information and communicate, but on the other hand made some of people dependence toward smartphone. The problem in this research is there any influence of smarthpone usage toward students’s dependence on smartphone. The Purpose of this research is to know how much the influence of smartphone usage toward students’ dependence on smartphone. The basis theory of this research are dependency theory and uses and effect theory. This research used a quantitative approach with explanatory type and survey method by using questionnaries as a research instrument. The variable in this study this the variable X (use of smartphone) and the variable Y (dependence on the smartphone). Hyphothesis of this research is influence of smartphone usage toward students dependence on smartphone. The results of correlation values (r) in this research amounts to 0.180 or 18%, it means that there is a positive relationship between the smartphone usage and dependency on smartphone. Based on the t value that obtained, can be seen that the value of t is bigger than t table (1.815> 1.66), which means that its suitable with the provisions of comparison when t_hit>t_tab at significance level of 5% so Ha is received, and if Ho is rejected, it means there is a significant relation. The result of calculating the coefficient determination (r^2) showed that the activity of smartphone usage in influencing their user dependency is amounts 0,033, or 3.3%, which means small influence. From that description concluded that psychology students in this research is not dependence on smartphone. Kata Kunci : Smartphone, Dependency, Uses and Effect Theory, Dependency Theory.
