Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Komunikasi antarpribadi adalah proses komunikasi yang dianggap paling efektif untuk menerapkan suatu pendekatan dalam rangka mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan. Salah satunya adalah komunikasi antarpribadi yang dilakukan oleh relawan dalam memotivasi semangat belajar anak di Taman Baca Masyarakat Kampung Merdeka, Teluk Betung Barat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah peranan komunikasi antarpribadi yang dilakukan oleh relawan dalam memotivasi semangat belajar anak di Taman Baca Masyarakat Kampung Merdeka. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Joseph de Vito, dengan pendekatan aspek humanistik yaitu keterbukaan,empati, sikap mendukung, sikap positif, dan kesetaraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan para informan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi antarpribadi yang diterapkan relawan kepada anak terbukti berperan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak di Taman Baca Masyarakat Kampung Merdeka. Dari kelima aspek humanistik tersebut, semuanya berhasil diterapkan oleh para relawan ke anak. Hanya saja, dariaspek sikap positif anakkepada para relawan masih kurang baik. Kata kunci : Komunikasi antarpribadi, pendekatan humanistik, anak, motivasi belajar. abstract Interpersonal communication is the process of communication that is considered the most effective to implement an approach to achieve the expected goals. One of them is interpersonal communication that is done by the volunteers in encouraging children learning motivationin Kampung Merdeka Community Library, Teluk Betung Barat. The purpose of this research was to find out how the role of interpersonal communication that is done by the volunteers in encouraging children learning motivation at Kampung Merdeka Community Library, Teluk Betung Barat. A study used theory of humanistic approach by Joseph de Vito; openness, empathy, supportiveness, positiveness, and equality. This research used qualitative method the data were collected through in-depth interviews with the informants. The results of this research indicate that interpersonal communication which being implemented by the volunteers to the children is proven to increase their learning motivation in Kampung Merdeka Community Library, Teluk Betung Barat. From the five aspects of humanistic approach, all of them are successfully implemented by volunteers to children. Yet, positive attitude aspect from children to the volunteers is still not well enough. Keywords: Interpersonal communication, humanistic approach, children, learning motivation
