Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir evaluatif siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit non-elektrolit . Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 4 Metro semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X2 dan X4. Efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan berpikir evaluatif siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,57 dan 0,39. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diketahui bahwa pembelajaran mengguna¬kan model problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir evaluatif siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit non-elektrolit . Kata kunci: model problem solving, kemampuan berpikir evaluatif, larutan elektrolit non-elektrolit This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of problem solving to increase student’s evaluation thinking skills on electrolyte non-electrolyte. The method of the research was quasi-experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique. The population of this research was all student in X class of SMA Negeri 4 Metro whose sit in odd semester of academic year 2013/2014 and the samples were X2 and X4 of ten class. The effectiveness of scientific approach was measured based on the significant difference of n-Gain score between control class and experiment class. The result of research showed that the average n-Gain score of student’s evaluation thinking skills for experiment class was 0,57 and 0,39 for control class. Based on the hypothesis testing, it was known that scientific approach learning was effective to increase student’s evaluation thinking skills on electrolyte non-electrolyte.
