ABSTRACT The research aimed of this study is to know the influence of mangrove planting programme to coastal community economy in Paku village, Kelumbayan, Tanggamus. This research used quantitative explanatory type method with 232 head of families as total population and took 70 people spread in 3 hamlets and 6 neighborhoods as samples. The result showed that there was a positive influence between the mangrove planting programme to coastal community economy with the value of simple linear regression equation of Y = 17,649 + 0,352X. The result of calculation of coefficient of determination (R 2 ) was obtained value equal to 0,084 which shows the magnitude of influence of mangrove planting programme to coastal community economy is 8.4%, with 0,290 as correlation coefficient (r) value which is categorized weak. It means there are other factors that still could influence the condition of coastal community economy. So the expectation to the next researchers is able to conduct similar research by using the other variables or indicators, so that the economic condition of coastal community could be better. Keywords: mangrove, economy, coastal ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh program penanaman mangrove terhadap perekonomian masyarakat pesisir di Pekon Paku Kecamatan Kelumbayan Kabupaten Tanggamus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif tipe eksplanatori dengan jumlah populasi sebesar 232 Kepala Keluarga (KK) dan mengambil sampel sebanyak 70 orang yang tersebar di 3 Dusun dan 6 RT (rukun tetangga). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara program penanaman mangrove terhadap perekonomian masyarakat pesisir dengan nilai persamaan regresi linear sederhana sebesar Y = 17,649 + 0,352X. Hasil perhitungan koefisien determinasi (R 2 ) diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,084 yang menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh program penanaman mangrove terhadap perekonomian masyarakat pesisir yaitu 8,4 % dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,290 yang berkategori lemah. Artinya masih terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi kondisi perekonomian masyarakat pesisir. Sehingga harapan bagi peneliti selanjutnya yaitu dapat melakukan penelitian sejenis dengan menggunakan variabel atau indikator yang lain sehingga kondisi perekonomian masyarakat pesisir dapat menjadi lebih baik.
