ABSTRACT This research destination is to knowing different understanding the concept of student's sosial studies materials with to use Team Games Tournament and Probem Posing learning models, this concept to students who have high and low motivations, the interaction between cooperative learning model with student's motivation to study to understanding the concept of material sosial studies. It’s to use method is experimental semu with pottern treatment by level design. research.Population research done at MTs Al Falah Muncakas many as 127 students.Sample size 60 students consisting of 26 men and 34 women. This sample to use Cluster Random Sampling. Data collection through observation of motivation and daily tests. Hypothesis testing used twolane variance analysis formula and two sample t-test. there is difference understanding of the concept of the material social studies among students who learn using a model teams games tournament with problem posing, there is difference understanding of the concept of the material social studies have motivation to learn high, there is difference understanding of the concept of the material social studies have motivation to learn low, there is the interaction between the model learning with the motivation to learn to understanding of the concept of the material social studies. Keyword: The concept comprehension, Team Games Tournament, Probem Posing, the motivation. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep materi IPS siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament dengan model Problem Posing, pemahaman konsep materi IPS pada siswa yang memiliki motivasi tinggi, pemahaman konsep materi IPS pada siswa yang memiliki motivasi rendah, interaksi antara model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap pemahaman konsep materi IPS. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan pola treatment by level design. Populasi penelitian dilakukan di MTs Al-Falah Muncak sebanyak 127 siswa, jumlah sampel 60 siswa yang terdiri dari 26 laki-laki dan 34 perempuan. Sampel ini ditentukan dengan menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi motivasi dan tes ulangan harian. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan rumus analisis varian dua jalur dan t-test dua sampel independen. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa; ada perbedaan pemahaman konsep materi IPS siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament dengan model Problem Posing, ada perbedaan rata-rata pemahaman konsep materi IPS siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi, ada perbedaan rata-rata pemahaman konsep materi IPS siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah, ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar terhadap pemahaman konsep materi IPS.
