Abstrak

Hipotesis Fisher telah menjadi topik yang banyak diperdebatkan. Hipotesis Fisher Effect yaitu peningkatan satu persen inflasi akan meningkatkan suku bunga nominal sebesar satu persen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan hipotesis Fisher Effect di Indonesia, Malaysia, Filipina, Thailand dan Vietnam.. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah suku bunga kebijakan dan inflasi. Penelitian menggunakan data runtun waktu preode juli 2005 – Juni 2016. Pendekatan kointegrasi Johanson digunakan untuk melihat hubungan jangka panjang antara suku bunga dan inflasi. Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan hipotesis Fisher Effect hanya dapat dibuktikan pada negara Indonesia, dan Vietnam dan tidak berlaku pada Negara Malaysia, Filipina dan Thailand. Kata Kunci :Fisher Effect, Inflasi, Kointegrasi. Suku Bunga Nominal. ABSTRACT The Fisher Hypothesis has become a debated topic. The Fisher Effect hypothesis stated that one percent increasing in inflation will increase the nominal interest rate by one percent. This study aims to prove the hypothesis Fisher Effect in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Variables used in this study were policy interest rates and inflation. The study used time series data from July 2005 to June 2016. Johanson's cointegration was used to see the long-term relationship between interest rates and inflation. The results of the analysis show the Fisher Effect hypothesis can only be proved in Indonesia, and Vietnam while it did not occure in Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand.
