Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui pengaruh kadar protein kasar ransum terhadap performa ayam KUB periode starter (umur 0--4 minggu); 2) mengetahui kadar protein kasar ransum terbaik yang berpengaruh terhadap performa ayam KUB periode starter (umur 0--4 minggu). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Mei--Juni 2017 di Kandang Unggas Laboratorium Lapang Terpadu, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 8 ulangan. Masing-masing ulangan terdiri dari 4 ekor ayam. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu: ransum dengan kadar protein kasar 21,50%; 18,50%; dan 15,57%. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam pada taraf 5%, uji lanjut yang digunakan adalah uji BNT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ransum dengan kadar protein kasar berbeda, berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, konsumsi protein, pertambahan berat tubuh, konversi ransum, dan Income Over Feed Cost Ayam KUB periode starter. Kata kunci: Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB), periode starter, kadar protein, ransum, performa. abstract This aims of this research: 1) to know the effect of feed crude protein ration on KUB chicken’s performance in starter period (age 0--4 weeks); 2) to know the best crude protein ratio levels that has affect on KUB chicken’s performance in starter period (age 0--4 weeks). The research was conducted in May--June 2017 in Poultry Cage Integrated Field Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The method is used is completely randominted design (CRD) with three treatments and eight replications. Each trial unit consists of four chickens and quantity of ninety six chickens. Treatments are: diet with high levels of coarse protein 21.50%; 18.50%; and 15.57%. The data obtained were analyzed by using anova at 5% level and continue with BNT. The results showed that the ration with different levels of crude protein, an effect was not significant (P> 0.05) on feed consumption, protein consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion, and Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC).
