Abstrak

ABSTRAK IDENTIFIKASI TELUR SOIL TRANSMITTED HELMINTHS (STH) PADA LALAPAN KUBIS (Brassica oleracea) DI WARUNG MAKAN KELURAHAN KAMPUNG BARU, LABUHAN RATU, KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG Oleh RIESTYA ABDIANA Latar Belakang : Kecacingan merupakan masalah kesehatan yang tersebar luas baik di daerah tropis maupun subtropis dan lebih dari 1,5 miliar orang atau 24% dari populasi dunia sudah terinfeksi Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH). Infeksi STH adalah salah satu infeksi yang paling umum ditemukan di seluruh dunia. Spesies utama yang banyak menginfeksi masyarakat adalah cacing gelang (Ascaris lumbricoides), cacing cambuk (Trichuris trichiura) dan cacing kait (Necator americanus dan Ancylostoma duodenale). Metode Penelitian : Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei yang bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan laboratorik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya telur Soil Transmitted Helmints (STH) pada lalapan kubis (Brassica oleracea) di warung makan Kelurahan Kampung Baru, Labuhan Ratu, Kota Bandar Lampung. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 22, dengan pengambilan sampel dari lalapan kubis dilakukan satu kali dalam dua minggu selama empat minggu sehingga didapatkan 44 sampel. Hasil Penelitian : Tidak ditemukan adanya kontaminasi dari telur Soil Transmitted Helmints (STH), baik dari spesies Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, maupun dari cacing kait (Ancylostoma duodenale dan Necator americanus). Simpulan Penelitian : Hasil penelitian tidak ditemukan adanya telur Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) pada lalapan kubis (Brassica oleracea) di warung makan Kelurahan Kampung Baru, Labuhan Ratu, Kota Bandar Lampung. Kata kunci : kubis, soil transmitted helminth ABSTRACT IDENTIFICATION OF SOIL TRANSMITTED HELMINTH’S EGG IN CABBAGE (Brassica oleracea) IN FOOD STALL AT KAMPUNG BARU SUBDISTRICT OF LABUHAN RATU, BANDAR LAMPUNG By RIESTYA ABDIANA Backgrounds : Worm infection is a widespread health problem in both the tropics and the subtropics and over 1.5 billion people or 24% of the world's population are already infected with Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH). STH infection is one of the most common infections found worldwide. The main species that infect many people are roundworm (Ascaris lumbricoides), whipworm (Trichuris trichiura) and hookworm (Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale). Methods: The type of this research is descriptive survey research with laboratory approach. This research was conducted to find out whether there is Soil Transmitted Helmints (STH) egg in the fresh cabbage (Brassica oleracea) at Kampung Baru subdistrict of Labuhan Ratu, Bandar Lampung city. The sample in the study amounted to 22, with sampling from the fresh cabbage done once in two weeks for four weeks to get 44 samples. Results : No contamination of Soil Transmitted Helmints (STH) eggs, either of the spesies of Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, or the hookworm (Ancylostoma duodenale dan Necator americanus). Conclusions : The results of the study found no eggs Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) on fresh cabbage (Brassica oleracea) at Kampung Baru subdistrict of Labuhan Ratu, Bandar Lampung city.
