ABSTRAK IMPLEMENTASI STRATEGI DINAS PERHUBUNGAN KOTA BANDARLAMPUNG DALAM MENGANTISIPASI POTENSI KECELAKAAN LALU LINTAS DI KOTA BANDARLAMPUNG Oleh ANNISA UTAMI Kota Bandarlampung disesaki oleh kendaraan bermotor yang sangat banyak. Kepadatan lalu lintas di Kota Bandarlampung menyebabkan timbulnya masalah-masalah baru seperti kemacetan dan kecelakaan lalu lintas. Oleh sebab itu, Dinas Perhubungan Kota Bandarlampung selaku instansi yang bertanggung jawab dalam penyelenggaraan lalu lintas dan angkutan jalan di bidang sarana dan prasarana lalu lintas dan angkutan jalan memerlukan strategi dalam menangani kecelakaan lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis implementasi dari strategi Dinas Perhubungan Kota Bandarlampung dalam mengantisipasi potensi kecelakaan lalu lintas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada pengimplementasian strategi yang dimiliki oleh Dinas Perhubungan Kota Bandarlampung sudah cukup mampu dalam mengantisipasi potensi kecelakaan lalu lintas. Strategi tersebut dirumuskan kedalam sebuah program, program yang dirumuskan berupa kegiatan yaitu pemasangan rambu lalu lintas jenis standar, over head dan rambu pendahulu petunjuk jalan, pemeliharaan marka jalan, pengamanan dan pengaturan di bidang lalu lintas dan angkutan jalan, serta inspeksi sarana dan prasarana keselamatan jalan. Kata Kunci: Implementasi, Strategi, Inspeksi Jalan, Keselamatan Jalan ABSTRACT THE STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION OF TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT OF BANDARLAMPUNG CITY IN ANTICIPATING POTENTIAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN BANDARLAMPUNG CITY BY ANNISA UTAMI Bandarlampung city is crowded by vehicles. Traffic density in Bandarlampung City causes new problems such as traffic jams and traffic accidents. Therefore, the Transportation Department of Bandarlampung City as the agency which is responsible for the implementation of traffic and road transport in the field of facilities and infrastructure of traffic and road transport requires a strategy in dealing with traffic accidents. This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the strategy of the Transportation Department of Bandarlampung City in anticipating potential traffic accidents. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. The result of this research showed that the implementation of those strategy by Department Transportation of Bandarlampung City is quite capable in anticipating the potential traffic accidents. The strategy is formulated into a program, the program formulated in the form of activities that is installation of standard traffic signs, over head and road signs predecessor signs, the implementation of road maintenance, the implementation of security and arrangement in the field of Traffic and road transport, the establishment of the inspection of road safety infrastructure and facilities is sufficient to overcome traffic accidents.
