Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tanggapan masyarakat di Jalan Purnawirawan Bandar Lampung Terhadap program Mikrofon Pelunas Hutang di Indosiar dan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi tanggapan masyarakat di Jalan Purnawirawan Bandar Lampung Terhadap program Mikrofon Pelunas Hutang di Indosiar. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori persepsi dari Morgan, King dan Robinson. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu masyarakat di Jalan Purnawirawan I Gunung Terang Bandar Lampung. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tanggapan masyarakat Kelurahan Gunung Terang dalam tayangan mikrofon pelunas hutang dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal dan internal. Dimana faktor eksternal yangs anat mempengaruhi yaitu seberapa sering masyarakat menonton tayangan tersebut dan faktor internalnya mengenai kepribadian dan latar belakang masyarakat yang akan menimbulkan perbedaan respon masing-masing indovidu. Sdlanjutnya tangapan masyarakat Kelurahan Gunung Terang dalam tayangan mikrofon pelunas hutang yaitu memberikan respon positif dan negatif. Dimana respon positif dari masyarakat Gunung Terang yaitu mereka mengakui bahwa tayangan tersebut dapat merangsang hati seseorang untuk membantu sesama yang saling membutuhkan, menjadkan kita lebih bersyukur, merupakan tayangan yang bersifat sosial, dan tayangan yang dapat menghibur penonton ketika peserta bernyanyi. Namun beberapa masyarakat juga memberikan respon negatif yaitu mereka berasumsi bahwa tayangan ini mengeksploitasi masyarakat miskin untuk mendapatkan keuntungan, membuat peserta mudah mengeluh dan tidak mau berusaha untuk membayar hutangnya. Kata kunci: Tanggapan Masyarakat, Reality show, Analisis Faktor ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the response of society who lived on Purnawirawan Street Bandar Lampung to the television program of "Mikrofon Pelunas Hutang" or Microphone the Debt Repayment aired by Indosiar channel and to describe factors causing the response of society who lived on Purnawirawan Street Bandar Lampung to the televisio program of "Mikrofon Pelunas Hutang" aired by Indosiar channel. The methods used in this research were conducted through observation, interview, and documentation. The sample in this research was taken from society who lived on Purnawirawan Street I Gunung Terang Bandar Lampung. The result of this research showed that the response of society of Gunung Terang village in viewing the program of "Mikrofon Pelunas Hutang" was influenced by external and internal factors. The external factor which influence the most was the frequency of people watching the program; while the internal factor consisted of the characteristics and the background of the society that eventually caused differences in the level of individual response. Overall, the response of society of Gunung Terang village to the program of "Mikrofon Pelunas Hutang" was either positive or negative. Among the positive response stated by the society of Gunung Terang village, included: the society admitted that the show can trigger their empathy to help others in need, the program can make them to be more grateful, as a form of social entertainment, especially because it can entertain the audiences when the participants used the microphone to sing. However, some people also responded negatively, assuming that the Reality show tried to exploit the poor to make profit, while it lets the participants to complain easily and to give up to pay their debts.
