Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Guru pada Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri di Kecamatan Trimurjo, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah, Provinsi Lampung memiliki kompetensi yang bervariasi. Kompetensi guru yang bervariasi disebabkan oleh pendidikan, pelatihan, dan pengalaman yang diperoleh ketika bekerja. Permasalahan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri di Kecamatan Trimurjo adalah mengenai belum maksimalnya kinerja para guru. Sesuai permasalahan tersebut diduga terdapat dua faktor yang mempengaruhi yaitu kompetensi dan kepuasan kerja yang dirasakan oleh para guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran mediasi kepuasan kerja dalam pengaruh kompetensi terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan dianalisis menggunakan structural equation modeling (SEM). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh dari jawaban 156 responden. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penelitian ini mendukung hipotesis yang diajukan, yakni: kompetensi berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Trimurjo, kompetensi berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja guru SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Trimurjo, dan kepuasan kerja memiliki peran dalam memediasi pengaruh kompetensi terhadap kinerja guru SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Trimurjo. Saran yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini adalah SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Trimurjo harus lebih meningkatkan kemampuan sumber daya para guru terkait mengalokasikan informasi secara tepat di tempat kerja, SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Trimurjo harus lebih memperhatikan ruangan belajar mengajar dan ruang istirahat bagi para guru, dan SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Trimurjo harus lebih memperhatikan kinerja tugas guru terkait kemampuan para guru membedakan antara masalah pekerjaan yang menjadi prioritas utama. The varying teacher competence caused by education, training, and experience gained while woring. The problem at Junior High School in Trimurjo is not yet maximal performance of the teachers. According the problem, assumed that there are two factors that affecting performance: competencies and job satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction to competencies on teachers performance. The study conducted using quantitive descriptive method and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The data for this study is using primary data that acquired from 156 Junior High School in Trimurjo teachers response on questionnaire. The result of this research is supporting the proposed hypothesis, that is competence have a positive effect to the teachers performance of junior high school in Trimurjo, the competence have positive influence to the teachers job satisfaction of junior high school in Trimurjo, and job satisfaction have a role in mediating the influence of competence on the teachers performance of junior high school in Trimurjo. The advice given to this research is junior high school in Trimurjo should increase the ability of teachers' resources to allocate information appropriately in the workplace, junior high school in Trimurjo should pay more attention to teaching and learning room for teachers, and junior high school in Trimurjo should pay more attention to teachers 'performance related to teachers' ability to distinguish between work issues that are the main priority.
