Abstract
Abstrak Inggris This research was aimed at finding the function of Metro City park as an open public area in 2012. The method used of descriptive The population of the research was Metro City visitor. The sample was taken based on the quota sampling consists of fifty respindets both men and women. The data collecting technique were used of observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis used of the table in the form of presentage. The result of this research showed that (1) The most visitors Metro City Park (58%) stating that the Metro city park had socialfunction of culture, (2) The most visitors Metro City Park (58%) stating that the Metro city park had aesthetic function, (3) The most visitors Metro City Park (66%) stating that the Metro city park had ecological function and The mostvisitors (78%) agreed that Metro city park had recreation function.
