Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pendapatan dan risiko usahatani cabai besar dan cabai rawit di tiga desa di Kecamatan Sumberejo Kabupaten Tanggamus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan melibatkan 30 petani cabai besar dan 30 petani cabai rawit yang diambil secara acak sederhana. Untuk pendapatan usahatani digunakan analisis pendapatan, sedangkan analisis risiko digunakan analisis koefisien variasi. Untuk mengetahui perbandingan pendapatan dan risiko usahatani digunakan independent sample t- test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan usahatani cabai besar lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pendapatan usahatani cabai rawit dengan jumlah pendapatan Rp119.047.409 per hektar per musim tanam dan Rp49.579.450 per hektar per musim tanam. Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara risiko produksi dan risiko pendapatan usahatani cabai besar dan usahatani cabai rawit, namun risiko harga usahatani cabai besar lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan usahatani cabai rawit. Kata kunci: pendapatan, risiko, usahatani cabai besar dan cabai rawit This research aims to find out the comparison of income and risk of chili and cayenne pepper farming in three villages at Sumberejo Sub-district of Tanggamus Regency. This research used survey method involving 30 chili farmers and 30 cayenne pepper farmers who were chosen randomly. For farm income the study used income analysis, while risk analysis the study used coefficient of variation analysis. To find out the comparison of income and risk of farming was use independent sample t-test. The study shows that the income of chili farming was higher than the cayenne pepper farming with the amount of income Rp119.047.409 per hectare per season and Rp49.579.450 per hectare per season. There is no significant difference between production risk and income from chili and cayenne pepper farming, but the price risk of chili farming is higher than that of cayenne pepper farming.
