Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

The aims of this study were to find out whether there was a significant improvement of students‟ reading comprehension achievement after the students were taught through jigsaw technique. In addition, this research also conducted to find out which aspect of reading improved the most after they are taught by using jigsaw technique. The research was quantitative which used a one group pre test- post test design. The population of this research was the second grade students of SMA Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung of academic year 2017/2018. The sample of this reseach was XI social studies 4 which consisted of 32 students. The research was conducted from 3 rd August to 3 rd September 2018. The instrument was reading tests. The results of this research showed that there is a significant improvement of students‟ reading comprehension after the students are taught through jigsaw technique. It could be seen from the result which showed that the significance level of p < 0.05 (p=.000), in which the students‟ mean score in the pre test was 63.68 with an increase of 71.75 in post test. The data were analyzed by using t- test in which the significance was determined by p<0.05. It can be concluded that that main idea is the aspect of reading which improves the most. It can be concluded that jigsaw technique improve students‟ reading ability of report text.
