Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar tematik kelas IV SD Negeri Gugus Merpati Kecamatan Metro Utara. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kebiasaan membaca dan persepsi peserta didik tentang kompetensi profesional pendidik dengan hasil belajar tematik. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu ex-postfacto korelasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu: observasi, dokumentasi, angket, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kebiasaan membaca dengan persepsi peserta didik tentang kompetensi profesional pendidik, dan kebiasaan membaca dan persepsi peserta didik tentang kompetensi profesional pendidik terhadap hasil belajar tematik. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, kebiasaan membaca, kompetensi profesional pendidik. The problem of this research was the low of thematic learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri on Cluster Merpati North Metro District. The purpose of this research was to find out the positive and significant relationships between reading habit and students perception of teacher professional competence with thematic learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri on Cluster Merpati North Metro District. The type of research was expostfacto correlation. The techniques of data collections were observation, documentation studies, questionaires, and interview. The results showed there was a positive and significant relationships reading habit and students perception of teacher professional competence and thematic learning outcomes.
