Latar Belakang: Pekerja las pada sektor informal memiliki risiko terkena keluhan subjektif fotokeratitis karena terpapar radiasi sinar ultraviolet (UV) yang dihasilkan dari proses pengelasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat adakah hubungan antara lama paparan dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) terhadap keluhan subjektif fotokeratitis pada pekerja las. Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 27 pekerja las yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data pada penelitian diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan uji analisis menggunakan uji fisher exact dan uji mann whitney. Hasil Penelitian: Hasil uji analisis pada penelitian ini didapatkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara lama paparan terhadap keluhan subjektif fotokeratitis (p=0,365), terdapat hubungan antara kesesuaian penggunaan APD dengan keluhan subjektif fotokeratitis (p=0,000), dan terdapat hubungan antara kepatuhan penggunaan APD terhadap keluhan subjektif fotokeratitis (p=0,036). Kesimpulan: Lama paparan tidak berhubungan dengan keluhan subjektif fotokeratitis, sedangkan kesesuaian dan kepatuhan penggunaan APD berhubungan secara bermakna dengan keluhan subjektif fotokeratitis. Background: Welding workers in the informal sector have a risk of being subjective complaints of photokeratitis due to exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation generated from the welding process. This study aims to see whether there is a relationship between the length of exposure and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) against subjective complaints of photokeratitis in welders. Methods: The type of this research is observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The sample consisted of 27 welders taken by purposive sampling technique. Data in the study were obtained through questionnaires and analysis tests using fisher exact test and mann whitney test. Results: The results of the analysis in this study are no correlation between the length of exposure to subjective complaints of photokeratitis (p = 0.365), there was a relationship between the suitability of PPE use and subjective complaints of photokeratitis (p = 0,000), and there was a relationship between compliance with PPE used to subjective complaints (p = 0.036). Conclusion: The duration of exposure was not related to subjective complaints of photokeratitis, while the suitability and adherence of PPE use was significantly associated with complaints of subjective photokeratitis.
