This study aims to explain the ethnic Chinese diaspora in Thailand and the process of assimilation of them to become part of Thailand. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this study use books, journals, articles, websites that have been processed again by the researcher as a reference in writing. The results of this study indicate that there is a process of assimilation towards the Chinese as evidenced by the mixing of Chinese ethnicity in the daily life of Thai people, especially in several aspects of assimilation such as in aspects of life where the Chinese occupied the Thai economy and also the social status of the Chinese who have a full-fledged life. more than the indigenous people of Thailand. Key Words: Diaspora, Tionghoa Ethnic, Asimilation, Social, economy, Thailand Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan diaspora etnis tionghoa di thailand dan proses asimilasi terhadap mereka untuk menjadi bagian dari Thailand. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan buku, jurnal, artikel, website yang telah diolah lagi oleh Peneliti sebagai referensi dalam penulisan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya proses asimilasi terhadap etnis Tionghoa yang dibuktikan dengan berbaur nya etnis Tionghoa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Thailand, terutama dalam beberapa aspek asimilasi seperti dalam aspek kehidupan sosial dimana etnis Tionghoa menduduki perekonomian Thailand dan juga status sosial etnis Tionghoa yang memiliki kehidupan yang serba berlebih dibanding masyarakat asli Thailand. Kata Kunci: Diaspora, Etnis Tionghoa, Asimilasi, Sosial, Ekonomi, Thailand
