Abstract
ABSTRAK ANALISIS SISTEM AGRIBISNIS TERNAK SAPI POTONG (INTEGRASI TANAMAN PADI-TERNAK SAPI POTONG) DI KECAMATAN SEPUTIH BANYAK KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TENGAH Oleh Fitria Meysti Sari Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sistem agribisnis ternak sapi potong (integrasi tanaman padi-ternak sapi potong), meliputi : (1) subsistem penyediaan faktor produksi, (2) subsistem produksi, (3) subsistem pemasaran, dan (4) subsistem lembaga penunjang. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Seputih Banyak sebagai salah satu kecamatan yang menjadi sentra ternak sapi potong di Provinsi Lampung. Waktu penelitian pada bulan September sampai Oktober 2013. Responden berjumlah 72 petani dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode acak sederhana. Metode analisis yang digunakan ini adalah analisis ekonomi pertanian, analisis pemasaran dan rasio profit marjin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) penyediaan faktor produksi secara umum baik, namun masih bersifat tradisional, (2) usahatani integrasi ternak sapi potong dengan padi memberikan keuntungan yang memadai dan meningkatkan pendapatan usahaternak sebesar 14,20% dibandingkan usahatani yang berdiri sendiri. Kontribusi usahaternak sapi potong terhadap pendapatan usahatani adalah 54,04 % dan dapat dikategorikan sebagai cabang usaha semi komersil, (3) struktur pemasaran ternak bersifat oligopsoni dan belum efisien dengan penyebaran marjin keuntungan yang tidak merata, dan (4) lembaga penunjang yang berperan adalah kelompok tani dan dinas peternakan. Kata kunci: Sistem agribisnis, ternak sapi potong, integrasi tanaman padi-ternak sapi potong ABSTRACT AGRIBUSINESS ANALYSIS SYSTEM OF CATTLE LIVESTOCK (INTEGRATION OF RICE CROP- CATTLE LIVESTOCK) IN SEPUTIH BANYAK MIDDLE DISTRICT OF LAMPUNG by Fitria Meysti Sari This study examined of cattle agribusiness systems (integration of rice crop-cattle), including : (1) production factor subsystem, (2) production subsystem, (3) marketing subsystem, and (4) supporting institutions subsystem. This study was conducted in Seputih Banyak, a production center of cattle-livestock in Lampung Province. The data excluded in September and October 2013. The total number of Respondents were 72 farmers using simple random sampling. The study applied farm economic analysis, marketing and value chain analysis, and simple comparation profit-margin ratio in each marketing channel. The results showed that (1) the provision of production factor was runing well, althougth the nature was simple and traditional; (2) the integration of rice crop-cattle livestock provided adequate profits and increase farm income up to 14.20% compared to stand alone cattle livestock farms. The contribution of cattle to farm income is 54.04% and the livestock cattle farm could be categorized as semi-commercial agribusiness; (3) the structure of cattle marketing was oligopsonistic and not efficient, showed by unequal distribution of marketing margin, and (4) the supporting institutions that play important roles in cattle-livestock farm are farmers groups and local livestock service.
