Background: Wound healing is a complex biological process that can produce physiologically integrated tissue recovery. Aloe vera is composed of polysaccharides, which stimulate wound healing and skin growth. Mucus from this plant can be used for the treatment of internal and external wounds. Objective: To find out the effect of aloe vera water extract on the time of wound closure in mice. Methods: The research method used in this study is a true experimental study with a post test-only control group design. This study used 30 mice which were divided into 5 groups, namely group I aquadest, group II extract 25%, group III extract 50%, group IV extract 75%, group V extract 100%. Results: Based on the results of the One Way ANOVA test, was obtained P value = 0.001, which means that aloe vera extract (Aloe vera) can affect the time of wound closure in mice. Conclusion: There is an effect of giving aloe vera extract on the time of wound closure in mice Keywords: aloe vera, incision wound, wound closure. Latar Belakang: Penyembuhan luka merupakan proses biologis yang kompleks hingga dapat menghasilkan pemulihan jaringan yang terintergritas secara fisiologis. lidah buaya terdiri polisakarida, yang merangsang penyembuhan luka dan pertumbuhan kulit. Lendir dari tanaman ini dapat digunakan untuk pengobatan internal dan eksternal luka. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak air lidah buaya terhadap waktu penutupan luka sayat pada mencit. Metode Penelitian: Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian true eksperimental dengan desain post test-only control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan 30 ekor mencit yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu kelompok I aquadest, Kelompok II ekstrak 25%, kelompok III ekstrak 50%, Kelompok IV ekstrak 75%, Kelompok V ekstrak 100%. Hasil Penelitian: Rata-rata waktu penyembuhan luka pada kelompok (K)= 13,00 hari, (P1)= 12,17 hari, (P2)= 8,67 hari, (P3)= 6,83 hari, dan (P4)= 5,00 hari. Berdasarkan hasil uji One Way ANOVA, didapatkan nilai P=0,001 yang bermakna ekstrak lidah buaya (Aloe vera) dapat mempengaruhi waktu penutupan luka sayat pada mencit. Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak lidah buaya terhadap waktu penutupan luka sayat pada mencit Kata Kunci: lidah buaya, luka sayat, penutupan luka.
