Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas apakah profitabilitas, risiko keuangan, nilai perusahaan dan struktur kepemilikan merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi praktik perataan laba yang dilakukan oleh manajemen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode purposive sampling. Metode regresi berganda dengan sampel perusahaan keuangan yang terdaftar dibursa efek indonesia. Secara keselurahan sampel dari penelitian ini terdiri dari 39 perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama tahun 2008 sampai 2012. Alat analisis yang digunakan untuk menganalisa permasalahan yaitu analisis regresi linear berganda. Besarnya pengaruh variabel independen dapat mempengaruhi variabel dependen sebesar 0,7% dan sisanya 99,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dimasukkan kedalam model penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas, risiko keuangan, struktur kepemilikan manajerial dan publik tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap praktik perataan laba dan nilai perusahaan berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap praktik perataan laba. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling method. Multiple regression method with a sample of financial companies listed in Indonesia Stock. Overall the sample of this study consisted of 39 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2008 until 2012. The analytical tool used to analyze the problems of the multiple linear regression analysis. The magnitude of the effect of the independent variables can affect the dependent variable of 0.7% and the remaining 99.3% is influenced by other factors not included in the research model. The results of this research indicate that profitability, financial risk, managerial and public ownership structure does not significantly affect the income smoothing practices and firm value significantly positive influence on the practice of income smoothing.
