Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui resepsi informan tentang pemaknaan pernyataan childfree Gita Savitri pada tayangan youtube Analisa Channel. Dimana childfree masih dianggap asing di Indonesia karena childfree bukan bagian dari budaya Indonesia, budaya dan konstruksi masyarakat Indonesia adalah setelah menikah akan memiliki anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi resepsi Stuart Hall yang dapat melihat resepsi atau penerimaan dan pemaknaan dari suatu fenomena sosial yang ada dalam penelitian. Sumber data pada penelitian ini yaitu berupa data primer dan data sekunder yang diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam, studi kepustakaan, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa informan memiliki pemaknaan yang berbeda-beda dalam menanggapi pernyataan childfree Gita Savitri pada tayangan youtube Analisa Channel. Latar belakang pengalaman, budaya, pengetahuan, dan kepercayaan informan memiliki peran besar dalam terciptanya perbedaan makna dalam diri informan. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 3 posisi informan dalam memaknai pernyataan childfree Gita Savitri yaitu 1) informan berada pada posisi hegemoni dominan dimana informan merasa sepakat dengan pernyataan childfree Gita Savitri; 2) kedua posisi negosiasi yaitu informan menerima dan mengolah pesan yang diterima namun ada pesan yang tidak disetujui setelah disesuaikan dengan dirinya, 3) Oposisi yaitu informan memiliki pemaknaan yang bertolak belakang dengan isi pernyataan childfree Gita Savitri. Kata kunci : Analisa Channel, Childfree, Gita Savitri , Resepsi. This research aims to find out the informant's reception of the meaning of Gita Savitri's childfree statement on the Analisa Channel youtube show. Where childfree is still considered foreign in Indonesia because childfree is not part of culture and Indonesia, the culture and construction of Indonesian society is after marriage will have children. This research uses a qualitative type of research with a descriptive approach. This research uses Stuart Hall reception study methods that can see reception and meaning of a social phenomenon that exists in the study. The data sources in this study are primary data and secondary data obtained by conducting in-depth interviews, literature studies, and documentation. Based on the results of research, it was found that informants have different meanings in responding to Gita Savitri's childfree statement on the Analysis Channel youtube show. The background of the informant's experience, culture, knowledge, and beliefs have a big role in the creation of differences in meaning in the informant. In this study there are 3 positions of informants in interpreting Gita Savitri's childfree statement, namely 1) informants are in the dominant hegemonic position where the informant feels in agreement with Gita Savitri's childfree statement; 2) The negotiation position is that the informant receives and processes the message received but there is a message that is not approved after adjusting to him, 3) The opposition, namely the informant has a meaning that is contrary to the content of Gita Savitri's childfree statement.
