ABSTRACT PROFIT ANALYSIS AND OPERATIONAL STRATEGY OF SALTED FISH AGROINDUSTRY IN LABUHAN MARINGGAI DISTRICT By Ade Rahmad Ramadhan This study aims to determine the advantages and operational strategies of salted fish agroindustry. The research location was determined because the salted fish agroindustry in Labuhan Maringgai District is the center of the salted fish center in East Lampung Regency. The number of respondents is 23 which consists of agro-industry owners. The analytical method used is quantitative and descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the production performance of salted fish agroindustry in terms of productivity, and process speed was good. The average profit obtained from salted fish agroindustry in Labuhan Maringgai District is Rp. 39,152,243/month, which means that salted fish agroindustry is profitable and feasible to run. The greatest strength possessed by the salted fish agroindustry in Labuhan Maringgai Sub-district lies in the production component, which shows that the need for available raw materials is close to the agroindustry. The biggest weakness of the salted fish agroindustry in Labuhan Maringgai District lies in the marketing aspect, which has not used social media as a promotion. Keywords: Profit, production performance, internal and external Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keuntungan dan strategi operasional agroindustri ikan asin. Lokasi penelitian ditetapkan dikarnakan agroindustri ikan asin di Kecamatan Labuhan Maringgai merupakan pusat sentra ikan asin di Kabupaten Lampung Timur. Jumlah responden sebayank 23 yang terdiri dari pemilik agroindustri. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja produksi agroindustri ikan asin dalam aspek produktivitas, dan kecepatan proses sudah baik. Kentungan rata-rata yang diperoleh pada agroindustri ikan asin di Kecamatan Labuhan Maringgai Rp 39.152.243/bulan yang artinya usaha agroindustri ikan asin menguntungkan dan layak untuk dijalankan. Kekuatan yang paling besar dimiliki oleh agroindustri ikan asin di Kecamatan Labuhan Maringgai yaitu terletak pada komponen produksi, dimana hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan bahan baku yang tersedia dekat dengan agroindustri. Kelemahan yang paling besar dimiliki agroindustri ikan asin di Kecamatan Labuhan Maringgai ini terletak pada aspek pemasaran, dimana belum menggunakan media sosial sebagai promosi.
