ABSTRAK DURABILITAS STONE MASTIC ASPHALT (SMA) Oleh RIZKY MAIMUN Pada kebanyakan konstruksi lapis perkerasan sering kali terjadi kerusakan yang diakibatkan oleh genangan air hujan dan beban kendaraan yang berlebihan. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui durabilitas dari campuran beraspal Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA). Penelitian yang telah dilakukan menggunakan uji Durabilitas Rendaman dan Durabilitas Ekspos dengan rentang waktu 0 hari, 3 hari dan 7 hari pada masing-masing pengujian durabilitas. Hasil penelitian, kadar aspal optimum (KAO) yang didapatkan sebesar 6% dari kadar aspal rencana 5%, 5,5%, 6%, 6,5% dan 7%. Hasil pengujian campuran berasal Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) Size 14mm mendapatkan nilai Indeks Durabilitas Pertama (IDP), r sebesar 0,27% untuk durabilitas rendaman dan 0,09% untuk durabilitas ekspos. Nilai Indeks Durabilitas Kedua (IDK), terdapat kehilangan kekuatan (a) bernilai positif pada durabilitas rendaman sebesar 11,7% akan tetapi terdapat penambahan kekuatan (a) yang bernilai negatif pada durabilitas ekspos sebesar -0,65%, jumlah kekuatan sisa (Sa) yang didapatkan sebesar 305,4% untuk nilai durabiitas ekspos dan pada variasi durabilitas rendaman yaitu sebesar 280%. Nilai durabilitas campuran relative menrun seiring dengan bertambahnya waktu perendaman maupun pengeksposan yang disebabkan oleh pori-pori atau rongga campuran yang terisi air perendaman dan air hujan hasil ekspos yang dilakukan sehingga kerusakan campuran akan mudah terjadi. ABSTRACT DURABILITY OF STONE MASTIC ASPHALT (SMA) By RIZKY MAIMUN In most pavement constructions, damage is often caused by puddles of rain and excessive vehicle loads. This study was intended to determine the durability of the Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) asphalt mixture. Research that has been carried out using the Immersion Durability and Exposure Durability tests with a time span of 0 days, 3 days and 7 days for each durability test. The results showed that the optimum asphalt content (OAC) obtained was 6% of the design asphalt content of 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5% and 7%. The test results for the mixture of Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) Size 14mm got the First Durability Index (IDP), r of 0.27% for immersion durability and 0.09% for exposure durability. The value of the Second Durability Index (IDK), there is a loss of strength (a) which is positive in immersion durability of 11.7% but there is an increase in strength (a) which is negative in exposure durability of -0.65%, the amount of residual strength (Sa ) obtained is 305.4% for the exposure durability value and the immersion durability variation is 280%. The relative durability value of the mixture decreases with increasing immersion and exposure time caused by the pores or mixed cavities filled with soaking water and rainwater resulting from exposure so that damage to the mixture will easily occur.
